A Love Story in Photos: Morgan & Matt’s Engagement Session at The Gathering Place Studio in Centennial Hills, Las Vegas, Nevada

Morgan and Matt are a dream couple I’ve photographed since 2018. Every year, they book an anniversary session to celebrate their love! Watching them grow as a couple over the years has been so amazing. One of my favorite parts of my job is following along as couples evolve and change together over time. This year, we took updated photos for an extra special reason—it’s their engagement session!

We met at The Gathering Place Studio in Centennial Hills, Las Vegas. Click here to view the studio's schedule & per hour rates! I love shooting at this studio because it’s in a great area of town and has a large blank space to work with. (They offer full day studio rentals for events too!) These images were taken in February during a late-night session. I shot them with music blasting - think Leon Bridges to set the vibes- and in the dark (something totally new for me!). There’s something so epic about a fully flash photoshoot! This was so brilliant for celebrating their engagement together.

This was our first indoor session after seven years of shooting all around Las Vegas. We’ve ventured to the great view of Red Rock Canyon, urban and artsy Downtown Vegas, the seculded and barren dry lake beds, and more! Photographing a couple each year for almost a decade means you go to all the coolest spots your city has to offer. So this was the perfect location for their engagements—with the focus fully on them. We kept it simple. A white backdrop, tee shirts and jeans. You can’t go wrong with a little denim moment!

Morgan and Matt are tying the knot in Downtown Las Vegas this October, Fall of 2025. I can’t wait to photograph their love story as they open a whole new chapter together—and for the years to come.
